An adolescent pre-diabetic scare was enough to motivate Kern to make a change and start taking responsibility for his health from an early age. Bullied, overweight and unhappy Kern began playing basketball every day and making healthier snack choices. He also took a interest in weight lifting and soon morphed his body into a strong muscular physique.
This body and health transformation has been the drive behind Kern's passion for personal training. Ace certified in fitness nutrition and personal training, Kern has used his 8 years of experience training and 15 years in the gym to develop a very eclectic style. He specializes in weight management, macro tracking, body building and strength training. Kern combines block periodization and daily undulating periodization in tailoring his program to your specific fitness goals and needs. Using all the tools in his tool belt Kern prides himself on his ability to help his clients reach and sometimes exceed their fitness goals. Working with a wide variety of clients from celebrities trying to look great for an upcoming event to bankers and lawyers just wanting to live a healthier life, Kern gladly takes on the task. Kern believes that the most effective workout program is the one you enjoy enough that you look forward to getting to workout week after week.
A Brooklyn native, Nichole has always taken an interest in fitness. She grew up doing gymnastics and later gave up her career in fashion to pursue training full-time.
Nichole is NESTA certified and a graduate of the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy. With almost ten years experience as a fitness professional, she enjoys healing people's physical ailments and helping them reach their fitness potential. Nichole specializes in modalities such as functional training, strength training, resistance training, weight training,TRX, Vipr, kettle bells, kick-boxing, barre and prenatal/postpartum. Having worked for gyms such as Equinox and 24 Hour Fitness, Nichole has a positive reputation for helping people on their fitness journey.
Born into a Military family, Andre grew up moving around the East coast until attending college at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, NC,
where he earned a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
Andre always had a passion for fitness. He grew up playing sports such as track and field, football and basketball and currently still plays in recreational leagues around NYC.
A certified mixed martial arts instructor, Andre specializes in self-defense, movement training, calisthenics, high-intensity interval work, coordination, balance and posture. He is also NASM and CPR/AED certified.
With 5 years of personal training experience working at gyms like Equinox and Crunch, Andre prides himself on being a positive motivator with a strong mindset that life is what you make of it. His philosophy for his clients is to keep an open mind, try your best, and when you think you can’t give any more, laugh!!!
As a Temple University alumni, Noelle gained her admiration for personal training after competing in Division 1 collegiate track and field where she set the new record in the 1000 meters. Noelle attributes her success to her coaches and her regimented body-specific training program. Her favorite over-used hash-tag is #nodaysoff because as her success has taught her to become the best you can be, you must commit yourself to do the work when others won't. This is the training philosophy she still uses today. Her training program is designed as a lifestyle approach to exercise. There is no end goal, because there is no end point, life will go on. As we master the workout in front of us, we then must level up to our new and improved selves so that we can continue to live our best lives.
Like in her former track days, Noelle's training program focuses on both fast and slow-twitch muscle development by using weight training for muscular strength and endurance. She couples this with yoga, which helps with toning and the elasticity of the muscles. Her background in dance is also apparent in the creativity and grace of her movements, which engage parts of the body you aren't used to working. Each of her workouts incorporate a combination of total-body work and isolation movements.
With 10+ years of experience in NYC as an ACE certified personal trainer and a reputation for being a hard-ass and a supportive motivator in the gym, Noelle is known for getting the job done in whatever capacity you need. Her celebrity clients include Jenn Hyman, Founder of Rent the Runway and former Rockette, Mandy Evans-Brown. Noelle also has a long-standing roster of clients who joined the BBN movement in it's infant stages, and years later are still getting their booty kicked under her supervision.
